SBI Card, the largest credit card issuer in India, has introduced a new feature that allows its customers to make UPI payments using their RuPay credit cards. Starting from August 10, 2023, SBI Card customers can link their credit cards to a third-party UPI app and make payments at UPI merchants. To use this feature, customers need to register their credit card with the UPI app and can then make UPI payments by scanning the merchant’s QR code or entering their UPI ID and PIN. The process to link the SBI RuPay Credit Card to UPI involves downloading a UPI app, verifying the mobile number, adding the credit card, and setting a UPI PIN. This new functionality aims to provide customers with greater flexibility and convenience in making payments, while also increasing credit card usage in the industry.
