But it was Ram Lalla’s jewellery that is making waves across the internet for its sheer opulence and beauty. Here’s all about the gold jewellery adorned by the Lord Ram idol of Ayodhya.

The makers
The jewellery for the idol of Lord Ram enshrined in the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has been meticulously crafted by the Harsahaimal Shiamlal Jewellers in Lucknow and it has also earned certification from the International Gemological Institute (IGI).
The crown or the Mukut
Ram Lalla’s crown, known as the mukut, is fashioned from yellow gold, weighing approximately 1.7 kilos. The 22-carat gold halo at the back weighs around half a kilo. Adorned with 75 carats of diamonds, 135 carats of Zambian emeralds, and 262 carats of rubies, the crown, designed for a child of five and a half years old. Notably, the sun at the crown’s center symbolizes the Suryavanshi logo, denoting Lord Ram’s lineage.
The tikka or the tilak
Ram Lalla’s tilak, also in yellow gold, weighs around 16 gm, featuring a central 3-carat natural diamond, surrounded by smaller diamonds totaling approximately 10 carats. Natural Burmese rubies have been used to cover the Ajana Chakra, signifying intuition, between the eyebrows.

The hand accessories
Lalla can be spotted wearing an emerald ring which weighs around 65 gm, comprising nearly 4 carats of diamonds and 33 carats of emeralds. The Zambian emerald used at the center symbolises the vibrant green of the forest. The ruby ring, designed for the left hand, weighs around 26 gm and includes both diamonds and rubies.
The haars or the necklaces
The short round necklace, crafted from yellow gold, weighs around 500 gm and contains approximately 50 carats of diamonds, 150 carats of rubies, and 380 carats of emeralds. The panchlada (five strands) weighs around 660 gm and features 80 carats of diamonds, 60 carats of polki, and 550 carats of emeralds. The vijayamala, weighing around 2 kilos, showcases sacred flowers, reflecting Lord Ram’s harmony with nature, and the universe, with the mala’s length symbolising boundless devotion and humility.
The waistband or the kamarbandh
The Kamarbandh, in yellow gold, weighs around 0.75 kilos and incorporates 70-carat diamonds, along with approximately 850 carats of rubies and emeralds, symbolising unbreakable strength, eternal virtues, courage, passion, wisdom, purity, and elegance.
Bajubandh and kangan
A pair of baju bandh or armlet, weighing around 400 grams, is made in 22-carat gold. The kangan or bangles weigh around 850 grams and include roughly 100 carats of diamonds and 320 carats of rubies and emeralds.

The anklet or the payal
The pagh kuda, a type of anklet, weighing around 400 grams, is inlaid with diamonds and rubies. The payal, another foot ornament, is crafted in 22-carat gold, weighing approximately half a kilo. Each piece is meticulously designed to reflect the richness and divine grace associated with Lord Ram.
