Loro Piana hosted an intimate dinner in Southampton on Saturday night to celebrate the launch of its 2024 resort collection. Matthieu Garnier, the brand’s North American CEO, gathered tastemakers at a private residence on Meadow Lane.
The evening kicked off with a cocktail party set to music by DJ Isabella Massenet. The mist rolled in from the sea, creating a cinematic atmosphere throughout the modernist estate.
Acclaimed actors like Will Arnett and (an expecting!) Alexandra Daddario mingled with stylists like Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and Elizabeth Saltzman. They and other guests flaunted the line’s combination of youthful irreverence and classic design. The pieces reflected a mid-century surfer influence, perfect for the beach-side setting. It Girl Pamela Tick showed off her pregnancy in the sheer Hotaka sweater and matching trousers. Beverly Nguyen, founder of the homeware boutique Beverly’s, opted for a breezy olive set and tucked the wicker Cherry Basket purse beneath her arm. Entrepreneur and environmentalist Indré Rockefeller stood out of the gloom in a brightly patterned jumpsuit.
Next to the ocean, a spectacular dinner table adorned with red dahlias awaited attendees. Each place was set with an oversized fan, though the welcomed breeze made its use unnecessary.
Chef Jess Shadbolt of King in SoHo curated a summer feast, including locally sourced fish and fresh vegetables. Over fine wines, the group gossiped and laughed.
“One of our traditions at Loro Piana is to create memorable moments and to create community,” Garnier said. “It is part of the legacy of Loro Piana.”
