Magnite EZ-Shift: Nissan launches made-in-India Magnite AMT in South Africa: Details

Nissan has launched the Magnite AMT in the South African market, starting from R2,43,900. The compact SUV will be manufactured at the company’s Oragadam facility near Chennai, India. The Magine EX-Shift will be offered in three trim levels, Visia, Acenta, and the Acenta Plus. Among the three trim levels on offer, the top-of-the-line Acenta Plus variant is priced at R2,79,900.
The Magnite AMT is also equipped with a host of features, including an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, and a push-button start/stop system.

The base-spec Acenta variant in Africa comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlamps, rear parking sensors while the Acenta Plus variant adds LED BiProjector headlamps, Around View Monitor, TPMS, and reverse camera.
Under the hood, the Magnite gets the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, NA petrol engine that generates 72 hp and 96 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed AMT gearbox.
Nissan India recently launched the Magnite AMT to make the car more accessible in India, where it has been a game changer for the brand. It was launched at an introductory price of Rs 6.50 lakh, ex-showroom, undercutting the prices of AMT versions of models such as the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch.
