
The new Deep forest colour option is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The Mahindra Thar is available in three engine options – a 1.5-litre turbo diesel paired with a 6-speed manual and RWD, a 2.2-litre turbo diesel paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter with 4×4 and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter with 4×4.

In other news, Mahindra also has hiked the prices of the Thar. Only the entry-level variants of the Thar have been hiked by Rs 10,000. The prices of other variants remain the same. The starting price of the base AX (O) Diesel MT RWD variant at Rs. 11.35 lakh, up from Rs. 11.25 lakh. The LX MT RWD diesel now costs Rs 12.85 and the LX petrol AT RWD costs Rs 14.1 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

In terms of features, the Thar gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play/Android Auto, semi-digital cluster, TPMS, 18-inch alloy wheels, steering mounted audio controls, LED taillights and more. In terms of safety, it gets dual airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, seat belt reminder and more.
