Cine1 Studio Private Limited has filed a case against T-Series, asserting that the two production houses had entered into an agreement to produce ‘Animal’ with a 35 percent profit share. The studio claims that T-Series has incurred expenses for production, promotion, and release, collected box office revenues, but has not shared any details or paid them any money.
However, a source told ETimes, “It is a traditional trade practice that T-Series is following in the case of ‘Animal.’ Typically, the P&A (Print and Advertising) and OTT payment come after six months once the cost is covered. Additionally, it has only been one and a half months since the film’s release. T-Series is committed to honoring the profit-sharing agreement, so why is Cine1 in a hurry? The contract stipulates that statements will be provided after 60 days of the release, which is yet to be completed.”
