According to nbcmiami.com, an anonymous tip led to the arrest of Willio Petioma on charges of kidnapping, carjacking, interfering with custody of a minor, and illegal use of a credit card according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit.

Petioma was also charged on a Palm Beach County warrant for possession of cocaine and resisting an officer.

The accused was arrested Sunday after last Wednesday morning’s carjacking around 8:30 a.m. following a car crash between the victim and another vehicle, said BSO officials.

Authorities say when the mother got out to exchange information with the male driver of the other car, he got into her vehicle and drove away with her young daughter still inside.

Cops say the woman grabbed onto the vehicle’s door and yelled the child was still inside but the carjacker drove away, dragging the mother until she fell to the ground.

“Out of nowhere this guy came inside the car and I grabbed onto the car and I was telling him ‘my baby my baby!’” the mother, who didn’t want to be identified, told NBC6 by phone on Friday.

“I was just scared, like, how things are right now everywhere in the world. I was just thinking maybe I wasn’t going to see her again or something and I was just scared, because she’s a little baby.”

BSO released a dashcam video Friday that showed the carjacking suspect removing the car seat with the child still in it and leaving her on a sidewalk followed by two people approaching the child to help.

Two more videos shows the man later ditching the vehicle followed by him using the mother’s credit card at a Family Dollar store.

The victim says her cat had also been inside the car at the time as they were heading to a veterinarian appointment but the feline was found after the suspect got rid of the car.
