Police are investigating whether the shooting has any links to a shooting in a Campsie carpark on Tuesday night.

Vailena Koloamatangi, 27, was shot in the head and chest about 9.15pm as he was driving through the carpark.

A passenger in his car was unharmed.

Koloamatangi was taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

Three car fires were later reported on Tuesday night, with police saying they would investigate any possible links.
