Manhunt for stranger who smashed car window with gun, threatened man and woman in Campbelltown

Two Sydneysiders have shared a terrifying encounter with a gun-wielding man in the city’s southwest.

A 34-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were in a carpark on Camden Rd, Campbelltown, about 12.20am on Friday 8 March 2024, when they were approached by a man they did not know, NSW Police said.

The pair drove away to another carpark at the back of a fast food outlet on Tindall St, Campbelltown, however, the man followed them and pulled out a gun.

The man “threatened the other man and woman with a firearm” before attempting to smash the driver’s window with the butt of the firearm, police said.
