Maruti Suzuki Alto, S-Presso, Celerio dream edition to be launched soon: Price, features and other details

Maruti Suzuki India today announced that it will soon launch the Alto K10, S-Presso and Celerio dream editions in the Indian market. The announcement was made at the company’s sales media interaction and said it would be available by the end of the week. All three models will be priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available for a limited period.
The company did not reveal the exact details of these models but they will be equipped with more convenience features such as reverse parking sensors, camera, infotainment system and much more. All the details will be revealed by the end this next week. The bookings too will begin from today, interested customers can book it online or by visiting their nearest dealership.

The Alto K10, Celerio and S-Presso dream editions will be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol engine with 66 bhp of power and 89 nm of torque and these editions will be offered only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Along with this announcement, the company also said that it will reduce Rs 5000 on its Auto Gear Shift (AGS) product line. And as mentioned previously, all three will be similarly priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “At many places, the RTO registration charges change at Rs 5.00 lakh, so to take care of customers because affordability is an important point, we have strategically priced this limited edition at Rs. 4.99 lakh.

The company also said that the Swift CNG is in the pipeline. The Swift CNG will look identical to the petrol Swift and will feature the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol engine. It could have a fuel efficiency of more than 27 km/kg. For reference, the petrol Swift has claimed fuel efficiency of 24.8 kmpl for the MT variants and 25.75 kmpl for AMT. The new engine puts out 82 hp of power and 112 nm of torque in petrol mode, in CNG mode it will have lesser output. The CNG Swift is expected to be offered in three trims – VXi, VXi (O) and ZXI with prices starting from Rs 7.8 lakh (ex-showroom).
