Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo Velocity edition launched: Here’s what’s new

Maruti Suzuki has debuted the Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition. The company has further expanded the model lineup, which recently became the fastest-ever car to hit 1 lakh sales in India. The Turbo Velocity Edition can be had for an additional Rs 43,000 when opting for the Delta+, Zeta, or Alpha variants.

While the car remains mechanically unchanged, the new edition now features a host of exterior and interior upgrades. Included in the package are a total of 16 exterior and interior accessories, such as a grey and black exterior styling kit, along with door visors, ORVM covers, headlamp garnish, body side molding, illuminated door sill guards, a red dash-designed mat, a 3D boot mat, spoiler extender, wheel arch garnish, front grille garnish, and an interior styling kit with carbon finish.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo Velocity Edition: Powertrain
The Fronx gets the two familiar engine options that include a 1.2-litre petrol motor delivering 89 hp and 113 Nm torque, mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT transmission.
Additionally, there’s a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit producing 99 hp and 148 Nm torque, available with a choice of a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Notably, the Turbo Velocity Edition exclusively pairs with the turbo-petrol unit only. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the Fronx is the only car in the company’s lineup to feature a turbo-petrol unit.
