Though performing under gray San Francisco skies, Megan’s opening song “Her” brightened the crowd. Lights flashed as the lyrics “Tell your friends it’s her” rang through the venue. The 28-year-old rapper emerged from the shadows, illuminated by the lights wearing a bright pink outfit that matched her long, colorful hair.

Megan did exactly what she does best, dancing with absolute confidence and style as she continued into her next song “Freak Nasty.”

The Houston rapper showed the energetic Outside Lands crowd that she can do anything with her “Megan knees,” showing impressive strength and power as she twerked with her dancers, also wearing bright pink outfits. The rapper continued with her dynamic set, electrifying the audience with songs like “Plan B” and “Megan’s Piano.”

Megan then transitioned to “What’s New” where she directly called out her haters and encouraged her audience to flash their middle fingers with her. It was perfect timing: The rallying cry came just days after Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting and wounding Megan in the foot in 2020 after a party at Kylie Jenner’s residence.

Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Alex Bott, according to NBC News, said that Lanez harassed and intimidated her, subjecting her to “years of hell.”

Lanez posted on his Instagram on Friday, saying he “took responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved, that’s it.” The rapper continued to say he is not apologizing for the charges he is being “wrongly convicted of.”

But she didn’t linger on the subject for too long, instead focusing on the fans in front of her. At one point, while rapping “Thot S—t” — where she references how she’s “finna graduate college” (and she did, receiving a degree in health administration in 2021) — she even signed a fan’s graduation cap.

Megan ended her set with two viral party starters. She absolutely slayed her dance moves in “Body.” And with “Savage,” her radiant show closed off —  with the “hotties” chanting and dancing into the night.
