The proud mum was there to cheer her son and his crew on, sharing a photo to her Instagram of him in uniform, clutching onto his gold medal.
“Really trying hard not to be an embarrassing mum, but failing. Bawling like a baby. Gold!” she wrote.
“World Champions!! Back-to-back gold!”
Dunlop, who is a coxswain for Washington University in the US, is the member who steers the boat and is responsible for co-ordinating the power and rhythm of the crew.
Along with his university commitments, Dunlop represents Australia internationally, with proud mum Doyle spending a week with her son in Bulgaria.
“What a week in Plovdiv! An absolutely gorgeous town — rich history & magnificent food,” she added in another Instagram post.
“A gold medal certainly makes it even better! #worldchamps.”
