Talking about the CLE Cabriolet, it’s offered in a single variant – CLE 300 AMG line priced at Rs 1.10 crore (ex-showroom) and can be exclusively booked at Mercedes Benz India website.It’s the third convertible model in India after the E 53 Cabriolet and the SL 55 Roadster. The CLE Cabriolet was globally unveiled back in July 2023 and is based on Mercedes’ Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform which also underpins the C-Class. In terms of design, the CLE looks very similar to the outgoing E-Class coupe and cabriolet. It gets a large grille upfront with a shark-nose effect and a long bonnet.
Moving inside, the interior of the CLE looks very similar to the C-Class and is offered with three leather upholstery – Tonka brown/black, Power red/black and black. The soft top is offered in two fabric colour options – black and red. The Cabriolet gets a 2+2 seating layout with the main highlight of the cabin being an 11.9-inch portrait-style infotainment display and a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster.
Other features include 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, digital LED lights, tiltable infotainment screen, AMG sports seats, AMG Nappa leather steering wheel with paddles, Burmester 3D sound system with 17 speakers, 710W, AR navigation, HUD display, 360-degree camera, park assist, blind spot assist and more. The CLE Cabriolet is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 255 hp of power and 400 nm torque. The engine comes paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and has a claimed top speed of 250 kph. It also gets ISG which gives an additional output of 17 kW and 205 mm torque. Other highlights include the 4Matic AWD system, AMG Sports suspension and Sports direct steer system.
Talking about the Mercedes-AMg GLC 43 Coupe 4Matic, it’s priced at Rs 1.11 crore (ex-showroom). The car was unveiled globally back in September 2023. The new GLC 43 4Matic features a sloped rear end, AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical struts, sporty aprons with flics, sporty air intakes, roof-integrated spoiler, AMG-specific side skirting and quad exhaust tips. It’s offered with nine colour options.
Moving inside, the coupe features a black interior with Nappa leather, an AMG-spec steering wheel, and sporty bucket seats with red seat belts and stitching. The infotainment system gets a new MBUX UI, digital instrument cluster, and HUD display and the Coupe also gets AMG Track Pace software which calculates the lap time and other details. Other features include a HUD display, LED digital lights, 360-degree camera, Burmester 3D sound, keyless go package and more.
The AMG GLC 43 coupe will be powered by a mild-hybrid 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 416hp of power and 500Nm of torque. Mercedes claims the coupe can sprint from 0-100 kph in 4.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 250 kph. It comes paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. It also gets a Mercedes 4-Matic AWD system with rear-wheel steering, ride control suspension, three-stage AMG steering and three modes – Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Race.
