A technical issue at Meta has caused Humanitix events to be wiped from the tech giant’s social media platforms.

The ticketing company confirmed thousands of events, posts, comments, advertising content and other activities were incorrectly delisted from Facebook, Instagram and Messenger on Thursday evening.

The issue has been partially resolved by Meta so Humanitix content can now be reshared on the platforms again, but much of the historical content removed by the social media giant is still being reinstated.

“We are aware of a technical issue that is impacting Humanitix events on our platforms, our teams are urgently looking to resolve this matter,” a Meta spokesperson said in a statement on Friday.

Humanitix is working with Meta to speed up the reinstatement of specific affected events — organisers simply need to flag the affected event with the ticketing company to escalate its reinstatement.

“We are escalating specific event pages with the Meta team to be more speedily reinstated, while also awaiting on all incorrectly removed content to be reinstated across all Meta platforms,” Humanitix said.

“Humanitix unfortunately cannot know Facebook Event Pages if they were created via Facebook directly.

“Please email hello@humanitix.com with the Facebook Event Page URL Link(s) you are looking to restore.”
