Following the latest spike in prices, the duo has become dearer by up to Rs 78,000, subject to the model and the variant chosen.
MG Hector – Price Hike
Talking about the Hector model, the carmaker has maintained the pricing for the base-spec petrol trims. However, for the mid-spec and top-end variants, such as the Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro trim levels, the increase amounts to Rs 30,000 and is consistent across these specified variants.
Consequently, the top-tier petrol variant of the Hector Plus now costs Rs. 23.24 lakh, compared to its previous price of Rs. 22.94 lakh.
As for the Hector diesel variants, the price hike ranges from Rs 26,000 for the Shine 2.0 MT trim and goes up to Rs 60,000 for the top-spec Sharp Pro 2.0 turbo diesel MT dual tone.
The Hector diesel range was previously priced between Rs 18.59 lakh and Rs 22.12 lakh, but with the recent adjustment, the prices now range from Rs 18.85 lakh to Rs 22.72 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
MG Gloster – Price Hike
On the other hand, the company’s flagship product, the Gloster SUV has got even pricier by up to Rs 78,000 for the top-spec variant. It will now come at a starting price of Rs 38.80 lakh, ex-showroom. Other two variants, the Sharp 2WD and Sharp 4WD have also received significant price hikes.
