MG Hector: MG Hector Plus prices to be hiked from next month: Here’s by how much

MG Motor India is expected to hike the prices of the MG Hector Plus starting from November 1st 2023. As per our dealer sources, the price hike will range from Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 depending upon the variant. The MG HectorPlus is offered in Smart, Sharp, and Savvy variants and the price for the MG Hector ranges from Rs 14.73 lakh and goes up to 22.72 lakh (ex-showroom).The company recently slashed the prices of the Hector, by up to Rs. 1,29,000.

Talking about the MG Hector Plus, the SUV was launched at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo and is available in 6 and 7-seater options. In terms of design, the MG Hector gets a large grille flanked by split LED headlights and sleek LED DRLs. It features 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and at the rear, it gets re-designed tail lamps with a redesigned red strip connecting the lamps on both ends. The Hector Plus is offered in either six- or seven-seater configurations.

In terms of features, the SUV gets a 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car tech, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, premium sound system, digital instrument cluster and much more. The Hector Plus also features ADAS features which includes lane-keep assist, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning and lane-departure warning.

Talking about the powertrain and gearbox, the MG Hector Plus gets two engine options – a 2.0-litre turbo diesel with 170hp of power and 350Nm of torque and only gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. Another engine is the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 143hp and 250Nm of peak torque. This engine comes paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
