Globally, the Cloud EV is available with two battery options: a 37.9 kWh pack offering a range of 360 km, and a 50.6 kWh pack providing a range of 460 km. While it remains uncertain which version will be available in India, the Windsor EV is expected to incorporate the same 50.3 kWh battery pack used in the ZS EV. This would pair with a front axle-mounted motor producing 176 hp and 280 Nm of torque. Due to its lighter weight, the Windsor EV might deliver an enhanced range compared to the ZS EV’s claimed 461 km. Alternatively, MG might introduce a global-spec variant with a 134 hp motor and a 37.9 kWh battery pack, offering a more economical option with up to 360 km range.
Aimed at attracting young buyers, the Windsor EV boasts a tall stance, coupe-like roof, and large wheels. It is expected to be competitively priced under Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom, positioning it between the Comet and ZS EV. This pricing strategy places the Windsor EV as a potential competitor to the Tata Curvv EV, as well as other rivals like the Nexon EV and XUV400.
