An MKR contestant has stunned by making a surprise baby announcement – at the dinner table.
Queensland sisters Patricija and Brigita entered the competition at the end of the Instant Restaurant last week, alongside other “Gatecrasher” teams Amber and Mel and Aaron and Chris.
But just minutes into the Monday night’s episode, outspoken Melbourne contestant Christian shocked judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge and the other MKR teams by bringing up the “elephant in the room”.

The restaurant worker boldly asked Brigita if she was expecting a baby.
“There’s an elephant in the room that needs addressing,” he said.
Surprised by the statement, Brigita responded: “What are you referring to?”
Not backing down, Christian replied: “Are you pregnant?”
While Brigita was wearing a flowing pink dress, it was not obvious that she had a baby bump – prompting a nervous reaction from the other MKR contestants.
“Oh no, Christian, what have you done?” fellow MKR competitor Marcus said.
Christian admitted it was a dangerous question, saying “I took a big risk with this one.”
Brigita, herself, was also stunned by the bold enquiry.
“Are you calling me fat?” she asked.
In the end, Christian was able to breathe a sigh of relief when Brigita confirmed her pregnancy.
“Yes I am, actually,” she said.
Sister Patricija added: “First team of three! Whoooo!”
Brigita added: “Yes, I’m a big elephant – a six-month-pregnant elephant.”
“You don’t call a pregnant lady an elephant!” Patricija laughed.
But the mum-to-be wasn’t the only sister sparking conversation around the table.
Earlier in the episode, Melbourne contestants Nick and Christian admitted that they were rather taken by Patricija.
“Patricija is pretty cute, right?” Christian asked.
Nick then responded: “I’m not going to deny it. But I can’t help myself.
“I love love, at the end of the day.”
MKR continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.
