Murder detectives brought in to investigate missing man David Collisson

Homicide detectives are now involved in the investigation into a man missing from the NSW Central West.

David Collisson was last seen at a property on Wilbertree Road in Menah, about 9km northwest of Mudgee.

The 53-year-old was reported missing to police on October 15 when he was unable to be located or contacted.

Local police searched for Collisson before the matter was referred to the homicide squad under Strike Force Utyana.

Collisson is described as being of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance, about 180cm-185cm tall, of solid build, with a shaved head, grey beard and green eyes.

Police are searching the property where Collisson was last seen.

The dog squad and police divers are assisting the search.

Investigations continue.
