After 430 chapters and almost a decade of publishing, the renowned manga ‘My Hero Academia’ will end on August 5, as the author announced that there are only five more chapters left.
Illustrated and written by Kōhei Horikoshi, the manga has been appearing in the Japanese manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since 2014. The final chapter will be published in the magazine’s combined 36th and 37th editions.

At the beginning of June, Horikoshi took a two-week break from publishing the manga. “Apologies for the two-week break/ My schedule piled up,” the author said in a statement on X.
“It was a rocky road, but I was able to draw Deku (the main character) and his friends for nearly 10 years because you kept reading. It was a dream. Thank you so much,” Horikoshi added.

The manga follows Izuku Midoriya, known as Deku, in a world where he is one of the few people who don’t have superpowers. He starts getting trained by Toshinori Yagi, known as All Might, after he sees his potential and helps him enroll in a school for superheroes.
The manga became one of the best-selling manga series of all time, as it sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. It received an anime adaptation that is currently in its seventh season.
