New-gen Hyundai Verna launch next week: Features, powertrains, ADAS tech and more
We already know that the 2023 Hyundai Verna will be equipped with a dual-screen setup which will consist of a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, as well as a similarly sized touchscreen infotainment system. Both the digital instrument cluster and infotainment unit will set new benchmarks in the mid-size sedan segment that consists of cars like Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz as well as the recently facelifted Honda City.

Hyundai has also confirmed that the new-gen Verna will get a switchable type controller with dual functions. The rotary dials can be used to control the volume and the radio tuning, but at the press of a button, can be switched to buttons to control climate control functions. Moreover, the car will get an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system and three drive modes – Eco, Normal and Sport.
The new-gen Hyundai Verna will also be equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety tech, which could include Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and more. The safety kit will likely also include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, VSM, traction control, TPMS and so on.
Powering the 2023 Verna will be the same 1.5-litre NA petrol engine making 115 PS and 144 Nm as before, along with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that puts out 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm torque. A 6-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard, while the latter will get an optional 7-speed DCT as well.
