Microsoft is replacing the Windows Mail and Calendar apps with a new Outlook app. Starting in 2024, new Windows 11 devices will come with the new Outlook for Windows as the default mailbox application. The Mail and Calendar apps will still be available for download in the Microsoft Store until the end of 2024. Users can test the new Outlook app by clicking the toggle in the upper right-hand corner of Windows Mail, which will automatically install and import settings from the Mail app. The new Outlook app features advanced AI that helps users write better emails and reminds them to follow up on important conversations. The new app will be available for free, without the need for a subscription. Microsoft has also announced the pricing for its AI-infused Copilot for Microsoft 365, which will cost $30 per user per month for business accounts. The Microsoft 365 Copilot is designed to be enterprise-ready, with a focus on security, privacy, identity, compliance, and responsible AI.
