New Royal Enfield Himalayan’s accessories detailed: Panniers, auxiliary lights and more

The much-hyped Royal Enfield Himalayan was recently revealed, with a launch expected to take place this month itself. The changes are big, both on the styling front, as well as the technical side of things. Much like the previous-gen Royal Enfield Himalayan (411), the new Himalayan (450) will also be offered with a long list of accessories, but the list has grown even further.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan will be offered with a range of touring accessories like panniers and pannier mounts, a rear rack, a top box, a tank bag, as well as front-side storage boxes. Other accessories include a longer visor, a headlight guard, front and rear touring seats, a large engine guard with an integrated bash plate, as well as auxiliary lights for the first time!

There will also be a ‘Rally’ edition of the motorcycle, which will further add optional accessories like a single enduro seat, a new exhaust, a completely revised tail section, soft saddle bags, a radiator guard, knuckle guards, and a new taller handlebar. Moreover, the Himalayan will be offered with spoked tube-type tyres, while tubeless tyres will be an optional extra too.
The new Himalayan makes use of a 452 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder engine producing 39.5 hp of maximum power and 40 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. As for the pricing, we expect the Himalayan 450 to be priced from around the Rs 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom) mark, at which, it will serve as a direct competitor to the KTM 390 Adventure.
