Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal celebrated their nuptials on Sunday night with a registered wedding. The couple’s close friends and family were present for this momentous occasion. After the civil marriage ceremonies were completed, the newlyweds hosted a lavish reception party at a plush restaurant Bandra.
Several Bollywood celebrities like Kajol, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rekha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Tabu, Anil Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and many more were seen attending the grand celebrations.Stars like Varun Sharma, Richa Chadha with Ali Fazal, Anshula Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Sanjay Leela Bhansi and many other B-Town celebrities were spotted at the do in their traditional best.
In a video that is going viral on social media, the newlyweds can be seen performing their first dance as husband and wife on the song ‘Afreen Afreen’. While Zaheer sang the song, Sonakshi blushed and smiled as they danced romantically.

After reaching the venue, Kajol and Yo Yo Honey Singh took to their Instagram and offered a glimpse inside the reception.
Kajol reached the reception to extend heart-warming wishes for Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. The actress posted a joyful video of herself dancing to dhol beats with the newlyweds on her Instagram stories. The ‘Dilwale’ actress recorded the video while Sona danced to the beats and also called her husband to accompany her.
They were drenched in the festivities and covered with rose petals. The joyful atmosphere of the celebratory evening was captured in the video. “Happy happy happy @aslisona And @iamzahero wish u guys one ton of happy and joy…,” the actress wrote along with the post.

Singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey also gave a sneak-peek from inside the venue. The ‘Desi Kalakaar’ singer posted a video of a lit-up wedding hall where numerous guests are present to be a part of the couple’s big day. Along with the video, Yo Yo Honey Singh wrote, “Celebration day @aslisona So happy.”

During the reception ceremony, the couple made their first appearance as husband and wife. The actress exuded elegance for the special occasion as she was seen dressed in a gorgeous traditional red and golden saree. She accessorized her drape with a giant jhumka, a choker neckpiece, and a gajra in her hair. She also flaunted her enormous diamond engagement ring as well. Completing her bridal ensemble, she wore bridal chooda, bindi, and sindoor.
On the other hand, Zaheer looked dapper in a shimmering white sherwani. The couple happily posed for the paparazzi after reaching the venue.
