‘National Jiju’ Nick Jonas may have got a superstar’s welcome to Mumbai city for his first live gig, but his exit was far less glitzy. The singer hit the headlines on Monday when a viral paparazzi video saw him getting stopped by security at the Mumbai airport.
The singer, who was hounded by paparazzi on his arrival at the airport, was not allowed to enter the terminal by the strict security, who was seen asking his team for some documents.As per reports, Nick was stopped because his team allegedly forgot his tickets.
While Nick was swarmed by paparazzi upon his arrival at the airport, his exit took an unexpected turn as he was momentarily halted by airport security. The footage depicted security personnel requesting documents from Nick’s team, leading to a temporary restriction on his entry into the terminal. Reports suggest that the singer was stopped due to an alleged oversight by his team regarding his tickets.

Nick’s team was observed searching through their phones to address the issue with the constable and resolve the matter promptly, while the singer stood aside.
Interestingly, the video that was posted online, was then deleted from social media. However, fan clubs and other fan handles had already posted the clip on their respective sites.

Nick, part of the band Jonas Brothers, arrived in Mumbai on Saturday to hit the stage for their first live performance in India over the weekend. The concert featured performances of the band’s hits like ‘Sucker’ and ‘Waffle House’. Nick also crooned tracks like ‘Close’, and ‘Jealous’, and wowed the audience with his cover of ‘Maan Meri Jaan’, where he invited rapper King to join him on stage.

However, the most noteworthy moment of the night occurred when Joe affectionately introduced Nick as India’s ‘jiju,’ resulting in the crowd chanting “Jiju”.
Priyanka who couldn’t be with the band while they were in the city, shared a video of the crowd chanting on her Instagram Stories, accompanied by the heartfelt message, “My heart (red heart and teary-eyed emojis) Thank you Mumbai.”
