The unveiling of the new Concept 20-23 took place on a floating barge moored directly outside NDE on the Paddington Basin stretch of the Grand Union canal. Nissan says that the Concept 20-23 was designed by a team including some of the younger members of NDE, with the simple brief to design a car with no constraints – a car they would like to drive on the streets of the city where they work.

The Concept 20-23 name reflects 20 years of NDE’s position in London, as well as the company’s traditional number 2 (ni) 3 (san) as well as the current year. The fully-electric two-door hatch features aggressive styling all around, paired with contrasting cut elements like a curvy roof line, round wheel arches and circular LED DRLs that depict the main headlamp setup. While only the exterior of the Nissan Concept 20-23 was revealed, the company says that the car has scissor doors along with a rectangular sporty steering wheel.
Nissan also claims that the Concept 20-23 is inspired by Nissan’s Formula E participation, as well as online simulator racing – and the manufacturer’s heritage of ‘bold hatchbacks’. As of now, no specs of the hatchback EV concept are available with us.
