The new teaser gives a glimpse of the interior and features, the SUV gets a large touchscreen infotainment system which will likely measure more than 12 inches, a fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless charger, connected car tech, electric parking brake with auto-hold, multiple drive modes and more.
Other expected features include a powered tailgate, heated powered front seats with memory function, a 10-speaker premium Bose surround sound system, HUD display, ADAS, 360-degree camera and more. The X-Trail will measure over 4.6 meters in length and will have a wheelbase of 2,705 mm. In terms of design, it features a split LED headlight setup with a large grille. It’s expected to get 19-inch alloy wheels and will also feature LED taillights with integrated spoiler and diffuser.
The X-Trail will be the second product from Nissan in India, along with the Magnite compact SUV. Also, this is not the first time X-Trail is being sold here in India. The first and second-generation models were sold here before. The new X-Trail will be bought to India via the CBU route and is expected to carry a price tag of more than Rs 40 lakh. When launched, the X-Trail will compete with Jeep Meridian, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq and VW Tiguan.

The X-Trail is based on Renault-Nissan’s CMF-C platform jointly developed by Nissan and Renault. Globally it’s offered with multiple powertrain options including a strong hybrid. However, India is only expected to get a single-engine option. It might get a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 204hp and 305Nm. It might get a CVT gearbox and AWD is expected too.
