Remembering his first vehicle, Gadkari said “On this special occasion, I reminisce about my first vehicle-the Luna, a cherished gift from my mother to me. The Luna holds a special place in my heart as my first vehicle, and though today, I own numerous other vehicles, the memories associated with the Luna presented by my mother remain engraved in my heart,”
The Kinetic Luna was first launched in 1972 by Kinetic Engineering as a 50cc moped that became immensely popular in the late 90s. Fast forward to 2024, when the electric vehicle revolution is in full swing in India, led by the two-wheeler segment, especially in the last-mile mobility sector, Kinetic Green has launched the new E-Luna.

Gadkari is renowned for his staunch support for green vehicles and has been a vocal advocate for the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). His personal collection features a variety of environmentally friendly cars such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric SUV and the Toyota Mirai fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV).
