Home SportsNitish Rana Asks For No-Objection Certificate From DDCA, Dhruv Shorey Leaves Delhi For Vidarbha
Dhruv Shorey, who was the fourth-highest run-getter in the Ranji Trophy last season with 859 runs, has decided to leave Delhi and play for Vidarbha in the upcoming domestic season. He has already signed a contract with the Vidarbha Cricket Association. Former skipper Nitish Rana is also looking to leave Delhi and is rumored to be joining Baroda or Haryana. The DDCA has confirmed that both players have requested a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) and they will respect their decision if they choose to leave. Rana is upset about being replaced as white ball captain and being dropped from the red ball side mid-season. Dhruv Shorey is unhappy about being labeled as a red ball specialist. The DDCA may try to retain Rana by offering him the captaincy. Himmat Singh is expected to take over as the captain of the Ranji Trophy team this season. Abhay Sharma is unlikely to continue as Delhi’s head coach.
