The initiative focused on educating citizens about traffic guidelines and ensuring traffic rules compliance. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Kumar Yadav reported that the e-challans totaled fines worth Rs 59.29 lakh, with Rs 2.70 lakh already collected and deposited in the government treasury.
In fact, so far in the ongoing year, Gautam Buddh Nagar has seen a cumulative issuance of 16.97 lakh e-challans, collecting fines amounting to Rs 94.54 lakh. The traffic police, collaborating with relevant authorities, identified and rectified 4 out of 15 black spots, with work ongoing on the remaining 11 spots.

Yadav emphasized the continued efforts of the traffic police to raise awareness about road safety, urging the public to adhere to traffic rules for the prevention of accidents and traffic congestion.
Aggressive driving behaviors and road rage incidents have been on the rise lately and several instances have been reported where individuals have been violating rules in a bid to create social media content.
