NSW drivers educated on correct roundabout road rules

NSW drivers have been reminded about the correct road rules when going through a roundabout.

NSW Police said there are a number of common “myths” surrounding roundabouts, including that drivers only need to give way to cars on their right.

This belief is “completely wrong”, police said in a post on social media.

“Believing this can lead to collisions, insurance claims and action from police,” it said.

“The rules are clear, when entering a roundabout drivers must slow or stop to give way to any vehicle already in the roundabout.”
