Powering the Motofaast is a pair of LFP batteries that offer a combined capacity of 3.53 kWh. The company claims a range of up to 130 km and the top-speed of this EV is governed at 70 kmph. Furthermore, the battery packs equipped in the EV can be juiced fully in under 5 hours as per the company’s claims. It also has three driving modes: Eco, City, & Sports.
Other features on the scooter include, a 7-inch touchscreen instrument cluster, combi disc braking system for both wheels, 12-inch tubeless tires, and diamond-cut alloys among others. For suspension duties, Okaya has employed conventional telescopic suspension in the front and spring-loaded hydraulic shock absorber unit at the rear.
In September 2023, the electric two-wheeler sales stood nearly at 64,000 as the segment aims to recover and achieve the pre FAME-II subsidy levels, Okaya EV witnessed a significant 23 percent MoM drop in sales. The EV maker managed to sell 885 units last month as against the 1,150 units sold in the preceding month. With the launch of Motofaast EV, the company will be aiming to ramp up its sales in the coming months.
