Olay launches new serum targeting menopausal skin and there’s a way to get £19 off

As women go through different life stages, the health and appearance of the skin can change drastically.

Changes in oestrogen levels during the menopause can really affect the skin, and cause it to lack hydration.

Research carried out by Olay with the Skin Health Alliance found that 49 percent of British women don’t know which skincare products are suitable for menopausal skin.

Using the findings, the skincare brand has since developed a skincare range aimed specifically at women experiencing the menopause.

The latest product to join the range is the Olay Collagen Peptide MAX serum, which is now available at Boots.

Buy: Olay Collagen Peptide MAX serum (£25 with Advantage Card)

The menopause can cause dryness, sagging and dullness, so the serum is aimed at firming and tightening the skin.

Boots currently has an offer on for Advantage Card holders to get any of the three products in the range for £25 each, saving £19 – and if you’re not already a member, signing up for a card is completely free and there are multiple offers you can access every week.

There’s also a moisturiser and eye cream, which have been out for a while and gained praise from Boots shoppers.

The range makes it easier for women to choose the right product to suit their skin at that time, while also highlighting the changes caused by the menopause.

The serum has been tried and tested on more than 100 women experiencing all stages of menopause and claims to leave skin soft and supple from the first day of use.

Dr Sonia Khorana, Clinical Dermatology Expert for Olay, says: “It is important to remember that the changes experienced during menopause are a completely normal part of this life stage. Embracing these changes with a tailored skincare routine can help maintain healthy, radiant skin and help women feel confident in their skin.

“Using advanced skin creams that are rich in ingredients such as Peptides – which help to boost the skin’s own collagen production – and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), supported by ingredients that maintain hydration, can make a huge difference to the appearance of women’s skin during this natural transition.”

Although the serum joins a range of highly-rated products, there’s no doubt that it’s expensive, and the cost may mean it’s not accessible to all women going through the menopause, however this MenoGlow Duo from M&S gets two full-sized moisturisers for £40.
