Thompson-Herah became the first woman to win back-to-back Olympic sprint doubles when she doubled up in Tokyo three years ago.

She has been hoping to join fellow Jamaican Usain Bolt as only the second person to do it three times.

But the veteran has been under a cloud even heading towards Jamaica’s national trials later this month, let alone Paris 2024.

Thompson-Herah split with her coach late last year and finished last in her season opener last month at the Prefontaine Classic.
