In the video that surfaced on social media, the man was seen lying on the roof of a moving Maruti Suzuki Swift. While the car was being driven by another person, this man lied down on the roof while holding the window panels as he rested his lower body on the windshield of the hatchback.
The Noida traffic police took cognizance of the video and issued a challan to the car owner, Mahesh Pal, a resident of Delhi. Pal has been charged under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, including reckless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, and violating Section 3 of the Act. The total charges amounted to a significant fine of Rs 26,000.
