Chinese technology giant OnePlus is set to release its first foldable smartphone next month. The company has teased the name of the device on Twitter, hinting that it will be called ‘OnePlus Open’. Rumours suggest that the smartphone will be launched on August 29 at a physical event in New York. The upcoming foldable phone is expected to rival Samsung’s latest foldable devices and the Google Pixel Fold. Specifications for the OnePlus Open include a triple rear camera setup, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED primary display, and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The device is likely to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and other recently released foldable phones.
