One of Australia’s most iconic chocolates has mysteriously disappeared from shelves at Woolworths, sparking outrage.
The supermarket giant has confirmed that it no longer stocks Allen’s Jaffas in any of its stores across the country.
The popular chocolate balls – which have a crisp red coating and orange-flavoured chocolate filling – have been available in Australia for a staggering 101 years.

Now a Woolworths spokesperson has told 7NEWS.com.au that Jaffas were removed after an internal review.
“We’re constantly reviewing the range of products we sell and that can mean some are replaced,” the spokesperson said.
“We’re always working to make sure we stock the range of products that have the broadest customer appeal.
“Jaffas can still be purchased through BIG W.”
7NEWS.com.au understands that Woolworths quietly dropped Jaffas from its stores several months ago.
But in a twist, it appears it may not all be bad news for Jaffas fans.
A Nestlé spokesperson says the iconic chocolates could be back in Woolies in the next 12 months.
“Allen’s Jaffas are sold through Coles, independent supermarkets and convenience stores nationally,” a Nestle spokesperson told 7NEWS.com.au.
“They’ll be back in store in Woolworths in 2024.”

The disappearance of Jaffas from Woolies stores has already sparked outrage on social media.
One customer took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their unhappiness over the move.
“Why don’t you stock these anymore?” asked one disgruntled shopper in a tweet to Woolworths.
