As per the recall, a total of 1,08,306 units of the Mahindra XU700 SUV manufactured between June 8, 2021 and June 28, 2023 are affected.
Apart from that, a total of 3,560 units of the XUV400 electric SUV manufactured from February 16, 2023 to June 5, 2023 are also a part of this particular recall. The affected vehicles will be inspected for ineffective spring return action of the brake potentiometer. Mahindra says that owners of affected vehicles will be individually contacted by the company.

The XUV700 is the flagship SUV offering in Mahindra’s portfolio, with prices starting from Rs 14.01 lakh and going all the way up to Rs 26.18 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). On the other hand, the XUV400 is currently the only electric SUV that the brand retails in India.
