Ahead of the big day, the Sinha family hosted a pre-wedding pooja ceremony that has garnered praise from the pandit. “Bohot achcha raha,” he remarked, on his way out of the Sinha family house Ramayan.
The Pandit, who was spotted at the bungalow since the early hours of the morning, was seen leaving the house late last night, after conducting a special ceremony with the bride in attendance.Joined by father Shatrughan and other Poonam Sinha, Sonakshi, dressed in blue, sat for the ceremony with a few other family members by her side. After the ceremony, the proud parents were all smiles as they waved to the cameras and thanked them for their messages of love and good wishes.On meeting the Pandit who conducted the ceremony, the paparazzi at the venue asked him if he knew what time the wedding would take place. To this he said, “Abhi kuch nahi batainge. Kal aapko malum pad jayega.”
When asked if he would be going to Sunday’s celebrations, he responded, “Han, jaa raha hain.”
For the pooja, Sonakshi opted for a simple blue salwar suit, exuding elegance and grace. Before heading inside for the ceremony, the bride-to-be greeted the paparazzi, proudly displaying the intricate mehendi designs on her hands.
Sonakshi and Zaheer, who have been dating for seven years, will tie the knot today in a civil ceremony as per the Special Marriage Act 1954. The wedding is set to take place at Zaheer’s Bandra residence at Carter Road.
Following the wedding, a grand celebration is planned at actress Shilpa Shetty’s plush restaurant, Bastian, in Mumbai.
The couple’s special day is expected to see a star-studded guest list, including prominent personalities such as Huma Qureshi and Aayush Sharma. Buzz is that Salman Khan may also attend the wedding, considering his close friendship with the bride and even Zaheer, whom he launched in the film industry.
