Passengers on three different rides at Canada’s Wonderland found themselves stuck over the weekend, officials confirmed to the Sun.

In a video shared by Arma Dharma on TikTok, riders of The Bat were seen stopped on one of the roller-coaster’s hills as they were facing forward. The ride travels through a corkscrew, loop and roll before it does it all again but backwards.
“It wouldn’t be Canada’s Wonderland without a ride or two getting stuck,” read the caption of 6ixBuzzTV’s Instagram post, which also claimed they were stoppages on two other rides, Windseeker and Riptide.
One commenter noted: “Could have been worse… they could have been stuck upside down.”

Canada’s Wonderland spokesperson Grace Peacock confirmed to the Toronto Sun of the rides being stopped.
The Bat was the first to come to a halt on Saturday at about 2:40 p.m. “on its lift hill with guests onboard.”
She added: “The park’s maintenance team responded quickly and the ride was brought back into the station and guests were unloaded safely by 3:05 p.m.”
About an hour later, Windseeker was stopped for about 15 minutes while Riptide was paused for less than 10 minutes in the evening, according to Peacock.
“All guests were unloaded safely and no injuries were reported,” she said, adding, “Unexpected ride stoppages occasionally occur and are designed to keep riders safe. All rides are inspected and tested daily.”

The Bat and Riptide were open Monday and operating normally, however Windseeker remained closed for maintenance, the park said in a statement.

Meanwhile, in Oregon, things took a different turn on Portland’s Oaks Amusement Park’s ride AtmosFEAR when riders were left hanging upside down for nearly 30 minutes on Friday.
The ride’s operators called 911 and began initiating “emergency procedures,” which involved first responders rescuing the passengers.
One rider, who had pre-existing health conditions prior to the incident, was taken to hospital as a precaution, the park said.
All other riders were assessed by first responders and given the go-ahead to go home.
