Decoding PM Modi’s Attire For His 11th Independence Day Speech
Modi has a record to wear special turbans for his every I-Day address from the Red Fort. For his historic 11th straight speech, the PM decided to wear a vibrant modern-lehariya kind turban. The pagadhi has yellow and green stripes He paired it with a subtle blue nehru jacket over a pure white kurta -pyjama set.
Modi’s attire with ice blue jacket offers a vibrant colour palette for the day when we cherish the freedom we got after a 200 year of colonial rule.
Often, people endeavour to complement the day by wearing attires in shades of the tricolour. And PM Modi adhered to trend as well. His turban speaks of the orange and green; orange signifies the courage and sacrifice made by our martyrs. Green is for the growth and prosperity. White speaks of the peace, purity and truth while the blue is the Ashok Chakra. And all these shades were sported by the Prime Minister himself.
Over the last decade, Modi has worn traditional Rajasthani turbans, bandhej, bandhani print turbans, multicolour turbans and more.
