(NewsNation) — Three-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter P!nk will perform Thursday at the Democratic National Convention’s final session, NewsNation confirmed.

Other artists also are expected to make an appearance. A spokesperson for the convention declined to provide further comment.

Thursday marks P!nk’s first politically affiliated performance, but the artist has been outspoken about LGBTQ+ issues, education and women’s rights throughout her career.

In November, she joined forces with the free expression organization PEN American and Florida bookseller Books & Books to give away 2,000 banned books at her shows in Florida.

She also sang about women’s rights in her 2023 song “Irrelevant.” The corresponding music video featured clips of prominent Democratic political figures including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and longtime U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It additionally highlighted key political moments such as the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

P!nk joins artists like John Legend and Stevie Wonder as featured musical performances at the DNC.

Organizers canceled James Taylor’s anticipated performance Monday, citing time constraints.

NewsNation producer Kevin Bohn contributed to this report.
