POCO, the Xiaomi sub-brand, has confirmed the upcoming launch of the Poco M6 Pro 5G smartphone in India. The company shared a teaser on social media, revealing the phone’s design, including a cyan color option and a dual rear camera setup. The exact launch date has not been announced yet. The Poco M6 Pro 5G is expected to be the successor to the Poco M4 Pro 5G, which was released in February of last year. Poco India Head, Himanshu Tandon, made the announcement on Twitter, although the specific launch date was not mentioned. The Poco M6 Pro 5G bears similarities to its predecessor, with a rectangular camera module and a dual-tone design. It features a dual rear camera unit, an LED flash, and Poco branding. Reports suggest that the new model will have improvements over the Poco M4 Pro 5G. The Poco M4 Pro 5G was priced at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, Rs. 16,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, and Rs. 18,999 for the top-end 8GB + 128GB variant. The Poco M4 Pro 5G boasts a 6.6-inch full HD+ Dot Display with a 90Hz refresh rate, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, a dual rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, a 16-megapixel front camera, up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
