SAN JOSE — The brand-new Spartan Athletics Center at San Jose State University is set to become a pivotal part of a blossoming “family entertainment district” near downtown, according to a prominent SJSU official. The $70 million facility, which seamlessly connects to CEFCU Stadium, was officially unveiled recently and has the potential to revolutionize SJSU sports programs while also acting as an economic driver for the area. “The time is now,” declared SJSU President Cynthia Teniente-Matson during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “We are incredibly excited about this.”
