Prabhas is a very secure actor: Sriya Reddy

Prashanth Neel, Prabhas and Prithviraj have set the box office on fire with their latest offering Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire. But in the midst of all this there is one lady who is standing as tall as all these men and that is Sriya Reddy. She plays the role of Radha Rama Mannar, daughter of Raja Mannar, she was given the reins of Khansaar till her father was away on business. A lot of praise has come her way for her acting, for her style, for her looks and now the actress has opened up about her journey into the film.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, she mentioned that it was director Prashanth Neel who convinced her to come back to Telugu Cinema. She shared that he had promised her that her role will stand out and he was correct. She highlights that there were a lot of phone calls and meetings and looks tests for her character to be where it was in the film. While she was expecting to be noticed, she didn’t expect the kind of love she got from the audience and the industry.
Sriya is not new to cinema, she has been an actress for more than 16 years now and believes cinema has come a long way. She recalled that when she began she was told that she wouldn;t get leading roles if she played headstrong roles but she defied them and created new a dimension for herself.
Remembering the times she spent on the sets of Salaar, she mentioned that she went and told Prabhas that she would be cutting into his screen time and he was absolutely ok with that. She called him one of the nicest human beings and a very secure actor.
