Samsung has recently announced the global launch of its fifth-generation foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Pre-booking for both smartphones has already begun, with the company reporting around 1 lakh pre-bookings. Now, Samsung has revealed that pre-booking customers will receive early deliveries. The sale date for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 has been confirmed as August 18. From this date onwards, interested buyers will be able to purchase the handsets through online and offline channels. However, the pre-booking offers will not be applicable to these purchases. For those who have pre-booked the new foldables, phone deliveries will start from August 11.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display, as well as a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, coupled with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.2 storage. It boasts a total of 5 cameras, with a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens, a 10MP sensor for the front camera on the outer display, and a 4MP sensor for the under-display camera. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 runs on the Android 13 operating system with the One UI 5.1.1 user interface. The starting price of the smartphone is Rs 1,54,999.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, it features a 3.5-inch Super AMOLED cover display with a 60Hz refresh rate. When unfolded, it reveals a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex Display. The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. It is equipped with a 3700mAh battery supporting Super Fast charging, and runs on One UI 5.1 based on the Android 13 operating system.
