Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the 2023 CB300R in India at Rs 2.40 lakh, ex-showroom. The naked street motorcycle has undergone minor changes and is compliant to the BS6 OBD2A emission norms.
Apart from becoming greener, the motorcycle has now also become easier on the consumer’s pockets as the Japanese manufacturer has reduced the price by approximately Rs 37,000. It will be retailed through the company’s premium two-wheeler retail chain, the BigWing.
Apart from the subtle changes introduced to the powerplant to make it compliant to the emission regulations, the Honda CB300R remains unchanged. The motorcycle borrows its design cues from its litre-class roadster sibling, CB1000R. This motorcycle boasts a circular LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank with a concise tail section, and an upswept exhaust. Furthermore, the LCD instrument cluster now comes with an emergency stop signal and a hazard light switch.

Powering the 2023 CB300R is the familiar 286 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that belts out 30.7 hp and 27.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via an assist slipper clutch.
For suspension duties, Honda continues to employ a 41 mm USD front fork and an adjustable monoshock at the rear. For braking, it gets a 296 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. The 2023 CB300R can be had in two color options namely, Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Massive Grey Metallic.
