MANILA, Philippines—Choco Mucho opened up its account and dropped PLDT Home Fibr in four sets, 28-26, 10-25, 27-25, 25-11, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference Wednesday at PCV Socio-Civic Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.
The Flying Titans relied on the scoring of Kat Tolentino and Bea De Leon, who both had 18 points to begin their campaign.
PLDT had slightly higher spiking numbers, 50-49, and was tied with the Choco Mucho for kill blocks, 4-4, and service aces, 6-6, but the Power Hitters gave away more than their fair share of free points.
The Power Hitters threw away 31 points due to errors, practically making Choco Mucho’s mark of 27 an afterthought.
Isa Molde and Jorelle Singh finished with 19 points apiece for PLDT but the team has now dropped all three of its matches.
