In an interview with News18, Rajkummar expressed his excitement about the film’s success, stating that while they anticipated a positive response due to the love for the first film, the actual numbers exceeded their expectations. He emphasized the gratitude he feels, noting that the film’s success is particularly rewarding because it is a content-driven project. Rao mentioned, “We were sure that the film would get a lot of love because of the love that Stree 1 got. There’s a big fan-following for Stree, including me. I am a huge fan of Stree myself. But these numbers are way above our expectations.”
The ‘Srikanth’ actor’s journey in the film industry is a testament to his versatility and commitment to his craft. He has consistently chosen diverse roles, refusing to be pigeonholed into a specific genre. He articulated his approach to acting by saying, “I try and choose different characters. People should not say that Raj only does certain kind of cinema. I want to do everything — comedy, drama, biopics, horror-comedy, action – why not! I don’t want to put myself in a slot.” This conscious decision to challenge himself with various characters is what keeps him motivated and engaged in his work.
Despite his current success, the ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ actor’s rise to stardom was not without its challenges.
